For the first year of ski touring 

We played a game of rock paper scissors to decide when we were leaving, Owen won so 11:30PM it was. We began with a refreshing wade across the cascade river at a comfortable knee deep. We scouted the river in the light the day before and found that what seemed to be the standard log crossings had water flowing over them. We slowly made our way uphill to the boulder field
